The Pre placement training programs are conducted by the in-house trainers as well as the experts from industry. We choose our trainers from various professional bodies and many others who could mould personality of the students and make them suit the needs of industry. Executives from industries organize the career guidance program and pre placement training program and the placement cell updates the students about the vacancies. Students are also informed about the crucial points of success. Pre placement training teams visit the campus and educate the students on the process of selection and train them to face the interviews effectively. Personality Development Programmes: Overall grooming and personality development is an essential aspect of training that the Placement Cell focuses on. Training one specifically for existing corporate challenges is a short-term goal. In order to truly empower students, the Placement Cell works on grooming them completely so tomorrow’s new challenges can be dealt with effectively. The Cell helps students recognize their skills and shortcomings through a series of tests and workshops. With this information, it provides counseling and aid to facilitate students to work on their respective shortcomings and develop their skills. Furthermore, it conducts general workshops for all students so they may develop certain qualities which will aid them in handling personal and career challenges. Leadership skills, problem solving, career management and self management are just some of the focus areas of the Placement Cell.
Group Discussions: Group Discussion! Is a methodology or in a simple language you may call it an interview process or a group activity. It is used as one of the best tools to select the prospective candidates in a comparative perspective. GD may be used by an interviewer at an organization, colleges or even at different types of management competitions. GD evaluation is done by the subject experts based on the discussions. A report will be prepared on analyzing the facts at the end of the discussion. Placement cell at RCE frequently organizes group discussion activities for the students to gauge whether the student has certain skills and/or personality traits that it desires for a particular company.
Seminars, Workshops and Technical Talks: Workshops, seminars and conferences held at regular intervals do perform the same motive for a student. Being exposed to these practices makes him more prone towards learning and getting better with each session. Continuance of studies and workshop on a parallel note can configure various academic highlights. It is always a nice option to exercise the textbook tools with technological knowhow. Students attending such workshops can demonstrate their capabilities and can further more update their knowledge through such platforms.
Aptitude Tests: Aptitude test can be used as a measure of the ability of a person. The aptitude test is of a great importance for the students studying in the colleges. As most of the multinational companies take the aptitude test of the person trying for the job. Placement Department regularly organizes aptitude tests to check the ability of the students for a particular job. To motivate them and to train them how to attempt an aptitude test college also organizes talks from the various professionals and trainers from different universities or organizations for taking competitive exams like CAT, GMAT, Aptitude etc.
Skill Development Sessions: Skills and knowledge are the driving forces of economic growth and social development of a country. Education should always be purposeful, growth oriented and productive. Along with Academic Qualifications we need to produce dynamic and enterprising youngsters capable of facing the changing times and taking on the toughest technical challenges. Prospective employers along with academic Qualifications are looking at the worth and expertise of a candidate from the view point of employability potential of the candidate. Hence the emphasis is on how best to integrate industry relevant skill set and regular college curriculum and expose students to real workplace culture. The need of the hour is a sustainable platform to hone the skills of students and provide the support each individual needs to grow. A well defined solution is the establishment of Skill Development Centers by the educational institutes.

Mock Interview SessionsMock interviews enable candidates to have a fair idea about the sort of things they are going to experience at actual interviews, and prepare them how accurately they can deal with it. Mock interviews help candidates reduce their anxiety about interviewing by training them for the typical interview questions. Industrial Visits: Industrial visit has its own importance in a career of a student who is pursuing a professional degree. It is considered as a part of college curriculum, mainly in engineering courses. Objective of industrial visit is to provide students an insight regarding internal working of companies. We know, theoretical knowledge is not enough for making a good professional career. With an aim to go beyond academics, industrial visit provides student a practical perspective on the world of work. It provides students with an opportunity to learn practically through interaction, working methods and employment practices. It gives them exposure to current work practices as opposed to possibly theoretical knowledge being taught at college. Industrial visits provide an excellent opportunity to interact with industries and know more about industrial environment. Industrial visits are arranged by our college for the students with an objective of providing students functional opportunity in different sectors like IT, Manufacturing and services, and marketing. Industrial visit helps to combine theoretical knowledge with industrial knowledge.
