Bhagawanpur was one area where no infrastructure was established by the Govt., but due to its proximity to Roorkee and the national highway linking Dehradun and Delhi, Industrialists found it more Ideal place for setting industries here and this is how Bhagawanpur came on the industrial map of India and today it can boost of having big Industries like, Ambuja Cement Ltd, Everest Industries Ltd, Hanung Toys Ltd., Godrej, Liberty Shoes Ltd., etc ..just to name a few.
Although industries were many and so were their problems, as there was no Government involvement in the infrastructure building And there for the Industries came under one umbrella and Bhagawanpur Industries Association was born.
